How many times a week would it be wise to incorporate the Clarisonic brush into my weekly routine?  I do chemical exfoliation 3x a week with Paula's Choice 2% BHA gel (on t-zone) and 1% BHA lotion (on the rest of my face).  My O/D score was in the low end (29) so I have combination skin.

I know I can be more adventurous or agressive than other skin types, but I also don't want to over-exfoliate.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Randomthinker!

I'm an OSPW, so can't help you with your question, but wanted to say welcome to the forum!

Hi RandomThinker, welcome Smiley

I'm not the same skin type as you, but my attitude to exfoliation is to do what you can without causing any irritation. That said, I'd say start with the Clarisonic once a week for say a month. If you're not getting any irritation and you're also not seeing the results you want, up it to twice a week for a while and see how that goes.

You've got to find the balance that's right for your skin by experimenting! For example, I have slightly sensitive skin and for my skin type, exfoliation isn't recommended. Yet, if I don't exfoliate my skin is a mess. So I have to adjust my exfoliation according to how my skin is feeling.

Thanks Joshua Powell,

I'm going to incorporate slowly, as you advise.   Smiley
